We hear a great deal about how compound bows are becoming more powerful and that they are capable of allowing the shooter to become more accurate than ever, but the greatest aid in shooting accurately has to be through using a bow sight. Fortunately there are many different types of bow sights available on the market that are not only accurate but also durable enough toe survive harsh and adverse conditions.
One of my favourite bow sight manufacturers is Spot Hogg and, from the vast range of Spot Hogg bow sights that come out of the company, one of the most reliable is the Spot Hogg Tommy Hogg. This is a moveable pin sight that has been designed as a solid, durable sight that may be used either as a single-pin sight or as a multi-pin sight.
The Tommy Hogg may be adjusted for yardage from a control located at the front of the sight. It is an easy to access knob that also means the sight is easy to adjust. This is a sight that can be changed depending on the preferred set up for a particular hunter. It’s not every sight that may be used as either a single-pin sight or a multi-pin with 3-pin, 5-pin or 7-pin options available.
When you are out in the field the last thing you want to have to worry about is whether your equipment is going to continue working through the entire trip. While it is prudent to bring spare parts for all items of equipment, having to replace them can take time and will require having to retune the bow. The Tommy Hogg, as with most of the bow sights in the Spot Hogg line, is easy to install onto the bow and the tuning process is made very simple through the ease of use that comes with the adjustment knob.
They may seem to be expensive pieces of equipment but bow sights such as the Spot Hogg Tommy Hogg tend to repay you time and time again through their dependable behaviour.
